MATT HODEL

Tattooing since 1995. Graduating into the industry in the ’90s, his roots in tattooing come from a time when a client’s vague description was what an artist had to rely on for imagery. Using this as his foundation in tattooing, Matt has honed this skill to help clients tell their stories in a visual language. Working with a client to pull out a narrative has helped Matt build a strong following in his field. Taking to the road pre-internet, Matt traveled to Japan, Brazil, Europe, and most of the States to seek out Tattoo Artists working at the top of their game. The knowledge collected from these journeys has been crucial to his craft. Matt currently owns Ragtime Tattoo in St. Louis, Missouri.

JONATHAN NORMAN

I’ve been tattooing since 2008 I started when I was 18 years old. I like a lot of different styles with an emphasis on traditional, bold tattooing. I had a formal apprenticeship and continue to learn from my peers. I enjoy creating the perfect tattoo that suits my style with my clients dreams and desires in mind. I got into tattooing from a love of custom car culture and the music I was listening to as a youth. Growing up in a no tattoos no piercings household it just strengthened my desire to create. I love the classic imagery of hotrod, sailor, outlaw type of work. I paint in oil, acrylic and watercolor ink. I’m a self taught artist that has a strong desire to be better than I was yesterday. When are you wanting to schedule!?

RYAN HENEREY

I’ve been tattooing in the St. Louis for 20 years, but I’ve also spent a lot of time traveling around the U.S. and overseas. Over the years, I’ve learned how to design tattoos that really fit your body—making them look like they’ve always been a part of you, not just something added on.

I love working with people to bring their ideas to life in a way that feels personal and natural. I’m a good listener and can take even the vaguest inspiration and turn it into something meaningful. I try to make the whole process as easy and comfortable as possible, so you feel confident from start to finish.

For me, it’s about more than just the tattoo—it’s about the whole experience. I’m always here to answer questions, chat, or help you figure out the best way to make your idea happen. Making sure you feel good about your tattoo, both while you’re getting it and afterward, is what really matters to me.

STEVEN LEE ANDREWS

My journey into tattooing started in 2003. After I received my first tattoo, I traveled as a musician collecting valuable life experiences and perspective, and of course more tattoos! Eventually that landed me back in St. Louis looking for a new path. I spent the better part of a decade working as a piercer before pursuing the craft of tattooing. Under my mentors and their guidance, I have developed a bold style based in classic American and Japanese imagery. Over the years I have learned to do what many won't do, listen. Taking your ideas and direction, I am able to put together art that tells a story and one about the person wearing it.
